Hi, I'm Mike Malley. I started MME in 1971 and so now have over 37 years of experience in the entertainments field. In 1979 I was the first British agent to conceive the idea of booking all the acts for an Oxbridge ball, including lighting & PA and to stage manage the event on the night, paying all the artists (including the fairground). I had also advised the students on all aspects of presenting the entertainment from electrical to rider requirements - what was really necessary and what was being "tried on", like the act that asked for 10 pairs of clean underpants to be available after the show because "they sweated so much while on stage that they needed to change afterwards"! Nowadays about 80% of my business is with Universities, Colleges & Military Establishments. The rest is split between Corporate, private parties such as Weddings, Barmitzvahs & Birthdays and clubs, both in the UK and Europe. With my managed acts like Stevie Starr I also arrange shows all over the world. After all these years in the business I have got to know a lot of people and have contacts who I regard as friends at all the major agencies as well as in the more unusual areas of this business. The motto of my agency is "If you can think of it...We can get it!" and I have yet to be beaten. From big name acts to Snow machines & water fountains, mobile go-karts to abseiling Marines, I have found them all.
